Happy New Year to you all and wishing you all the best in the year 2010.

I'm happy to announce that our 1st Porcelain Painting Exhibition and Convention organized by Association of Porcelain Artist ( APA ) will be held on Jan 20-27, 2010 at Lee Garden Lobby, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong.

Opening ceremony will be held on Jan. 21, 2010 followed by our 1st porcelain painting competition in the same location.

In the exhibition, we have a big collection of porcelain painting from local artists and as well as from world's famous artists from Norway, Finland, Portugal, Taiwan, Scandinavia etc. Some of the porcelain paintings are donated by the artists for charity event. All the sales will go to a non-profit association - Autism Children Foundation. We look forward to your generous support. See you there !

Just got back from Perth, the 12th APAT Convention and Exhibition. It's nice to see so many old friends and have met some new faces. I was invited to be one of the demonstrators in the convention. It's good to know that the painters enjoy my technique so much and we all had fun.

彩瓷畫是一種源自於中國的藝術，歷史源遠流長。早期的中國畫師己懂得把色彩塗於瓷器的表面去增加美感。而當時就只有紅，黃、藍和綠等四個顏色。畫師的超凡工藝，深深吸引了多個國家的工匠，如德國、法國和曰本等到我國學習瓷畫的製作。瓷畫於十六世紀末時正式傳入歐洲，被當地的藝術家發揚光大，更於歐洲各地被讚揚及肯定為一種優美的藝術品。

彩瓷畫學習非常容易，沒有年齡或性別限制，亦不須要任何繪畫經驗，而且可塑性非常高。色彩鮮明的釉上彩可以繪於任何形狀的瓷器，杯碟、瓷磚或骨瓷的表面，經過兩次或以上的著色及窯燒過程後，便能完成一件獨一無二的藝術品。親手製作的成果，不但可以作為裝飾品或日常家居使用，亦是在特別的日子如生日、結婚、小孩滿月、週年紀念等，送贈給親友的最佳禮物。紀念價值之高，非一般可以用金錢買回來的可以相比。而最重要的是，每一件製成品都是繪畫者用心和思所做成，在製作的過程中，能帶給繪畫者無限的滿足和成功感。

彩瓷畫的製作並不是想像中的困難。初學者可以先選好一幅圖案和一個配合的瓷器，便可以把圖案移印到瓷器表面再上色，薄簿的著了一層釉上彩後，便要放在窯內，以７２０℃ ﹣８５０℃ 的高温燒約３﹣４小時，再降温約１０﹣１２小時後才可取出。一般的彩瓷畫都須要經過最少兩次或以上的加色和窯燒過程，作品才算完成。而有經驗的學生更可以在著色之外，再加上多種不同的技巧，集於同一幅作品之內，以求效果更豐富、更突出。

彩瓷畫不單只是思維上的創作，有著無限的發揮空間，亦可以是一種很好的心靈舒發。是每天繁重工作或日常家務以外的最好減壓方法。

瓷畫坊是本港首間瓷畫製作坊，由持證書導師用廣東話或英語以小組形式教授。學習環境輕鬆舒適，除可以學習已被推崇為優美藝術的瓷畫外，更可以結識到一班新朋友，擴濶社交圈子，令生活更添色彩。

瓷畫坊除了提供一處舒適的學習環境外，還有一系列導師及學生的製成品可供參考。此外，瓷畫坊內亦有一個休閑閱讀室，好讓學員可以在瀏覽過百本有關書籍和過千圖案上找尋靈感的同時，亦可一邊喝口香茶或咖啡，一邊與其他學員互相交流繪畫心得。樂趣無窮！
